Hello
Thank you for visiting my personal website. Ideally, you will be provided sufficient information to discern any potential match of your needs and my services. There are intangibles impossible to communicate through words or images. I welcome the opportunity to remedy that difficulty with a phone call or an in-person meeting.
Good and lasting instruction takes time, energy, and effort. Almost anyone can throw something together, make it pretty, tick the boxes, and call it good. Training should be more than a bother. If you are interested in a meaningful and substantive product please get in touch.
Please look around this site to learn more about my background and skill sets.
Background
I used to think I knew something, until I started teaching high school social studies. I mistakenly assumed the students would be interested in what I had to say.
When I closed the classroom door behind me, and faced twenty 9th and 10th graders with socializing on their minds, I realized I was in deep water. My first inclination was to run, but my principal gave me the confidence to dig in.
Since that time, I have been frenetically honing my teaching and presentation skills. Through that process, my passion for instructional design surfaced.
During the initial surge of COVID-19, I enrolled in an Instructional Design and Technology graduate program. I completed the program December 2021.
Recently
May of 2021 I resigned from classroom teaching to focus on completing my graduate studies. Having completed those studies, I am ready to put my training, skills, and experience to use.
Ideally, I will find opportunities to utilize my natural and aquired skills in the area of instructional design and technology. I recently took a seasonal job with a CPA that will keep me occupied from February 1st through April 15th. Otherwise, I am open to inquiry and opportunity.
My strong suit is developing and presenting trainings. The words "nobody ever explained it that way" are music to my ears.
If you are interested in high quality and well thought out training, perhaps we could work together.
